Colorado Mesa University blocked its women’s lacrosse coach from presenting evidence on gender bias and stereotyping within the context of sport organizations to prove she was fired because she’s a South Asian woman.
The ruling Monday by the US District Court for the District of Colorado concerns when testimony from someone with an expertise in a subject area can be used in job discrimination cases, an issue on which courts can disagree.
