Labor Department Again Barred From Enforcing Anti-DEI Order (1)

The US Labor Department can’t enforce part of an executive order from President Donald Trump that targets diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

The nationwide preliminary injunction ordered Monday follows a temporary restraining order issued on March 27 by Judge Matthew F. Kennelly of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois that also barred enforcement of a provision requiring grant recipients like plaintiff Chicago Women in Trades to certify they don’t operate programs that promote DEI.
