Labcorp Agrees to Limit Use of Pixel Trackers, Ending Class Suit

Labratory Corp. of America agreed to an injunction that will limit its use of online tracking tools that allegedly sent sensitive information to third parties for at least two years, according to a motion to preliminarily approve a settlement.

During the injunction period, Labcorp may only use pixel tracking tools that support the operation or functionality of the website or related aspects of its business, and that come with sufficient confidentiality or nondisclosure terms, according to court documents submitted Thursday to the US District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.
