The Los Angeles public school district discriminates against White students by allocating resources such as additional staff with race in mind, a Tuesday federal lawsuit alleges.

LA schools where Hispanic, Black, Asian, and “Other non-Anglo” youth make up at least 70% of the student body are afforded lower student-teacher ratios, more guaranteed parent-teacher conferences, and extra points on applications to magnet schools, said the lawsuit filed by the 1776 Project Foundation in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
