LA Protestors’ Protection Order Limited by Federal Appeals Court

A Ninth Circuit panel partially paused a Los Angeles federal judge’s order blocking federal agents from targeting journalists, legal observers, and peaceful protesters throughout much of Southern California.

The two-page order from the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said the lower court’s injunction wouldn’t apply to protesters and journalists who are not direct parties in the litigation, citing the US Supreme Court’s recent ruling curtailing the power of nationwide injunctions.
