A US judge cut by one third a requested $4.9 million attorney fee award for the settlement of wage and hour litigation against Kroger Co. supermarkets
The litigation, arising from a glitch in the company’s new MyTime payroll and timekeeping system yielded a $10 million accord. In that light, the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio found the proposed’ fee award of nearly $4.9 million unreasonable and reduced it to about $3.4 million.
