Kroger Company of Michigan didn’t violate an employee’s rights when it declined to reinstate her following her car-accident-related medical leave, a federal judge said.
The US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan granted the supermarket company’s motion for summary judgment, dismissing Lenora Stevenson’s claims that Kroger denied her a benefit she’s entitled to under the Family and Medical Leave Act. Her complaint was dismissed with prejudice as Stevenson had agreed to dismissal of her Michigan state law discrimination claims.
