Kraft Beats Ex-Manager’s Lawsuit Over Covid Vaccine Firing

The Kraft Heinz Co. defeated a religious discrimination lawsuit from a former senior manager who said the company violated federal law when it fired her over her refusal to take the Covid vaccine.

Colette McCadd failed to establish that her reasoning behind refusing the vaccine was rooted in her Christian faith, according to a Feb. 28 memorandum opinion and order in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman granted summary judgment to Kraft and dismissed McCadd’s Title VII suit.
