Koch-Backed Groups Challenge Delaware Donor Disclosure Law

The Americans for Prosperity Foundation claims a Delaware law requiring certain organizations that run ads related to upcoming elections to disclose their donors violates the First Amendment.

The rules under the Delaware Election Disclosure Act “violate the right to private association, chill free speech and association, and overstep the government’s legitimate disclosure interests,” the foundation and its political arm alleged in a complaint filed April 17 in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
