Knight Transportation Inc. and truck drivers who say it failed to provide them with proper breaks and pay for non-driving tasks must revamp a proposed settlement after a federal magistrate judge in California questioned the deal’s fairness.

The settlement would provide $400,000 for approximately 5,500 of the transportation firm’s current and former California truck drivers.
