Kind Bar ‘Natural’ Suits Stayed While FDA Ponders

Kind Bar suits challenging “natural” label statements got put on hold while the Food and Drug Administration mulls whether and how to regulate use of the word on food and beverage labels (In re Kind LLC ‘Healthy and All Natural’ Litig., 2016 BL 301136, S.D.N.Y., No. 15-2645, 9/15/16).

Plaintiffs brought several would-be class suits, saying Kind LLC deceptively touts its snack bars as “natural” when they contain synthetic or highly processed ingredients.
