Kind Bar consumer suits are back on track after being put on hold more than two years ago.
The bars are deceptively labeled “natural” and “non-GMO” despite the inclusion of synthetic and genetically modified ingredients, according to proposed class suits in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
The court put the “natural” claims on hold in September 2016, and stayed the “non-GMO” claims in March 2018 to await regulatory activity from the Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, respectively.
