Kimberly-Clark Sued Over Contaminated Cottonelle Wipes

Users of Kimberly-Clark Corp. Cottonelle wipes sued the personal care company in New York federal court, alleging it failed to promptly investigate consumer complaints of illness and skin irritation caused by bacterial contamination in the now-recalled product.

“Kimberly-Clark drives home a consistent message about what consumers can expect of its Cottonelle-branded products: they’re quality, clean, gentle, refreshing, hygienic, and—most importantly—safe,” Dawn Rothfeld alleges Thursday in a proposed class action in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
