Kimberly-Clark Beats Proposed Class Suit Over PFAS in Baby Wipes

A proposed class of consumers failed to plausibly allege the Kimberly-Clark Corp. misled them or intentionally omitted information regarding the levels of PFAS in its Huggies baby wipes, a district court ruled.

The proposed class’ lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice on Monday after Judge Araceli Martinez-Olguin ruled it failed to state a claim regarding the levels of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in the company’s baby wipes. The proposed class was granted leave to amend its complaint in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
