Keesal, Young & Logan Law Firm Sued Over June Data Breach

The Keesal, Young & Logan law firm failed to protect the personal information of more than 300,000 people that was exposed in a June data breach, a proposed federal class action said.

Michael Lipman alleged that KYL breached its duties under common law, federal and state data-security regulations, and industry standards to implement reasonable and adequate measures to protect sensitive information and provide timely notice of the breach.

Information exposed in the incident included names, Social Security numbers, financial-account information, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, government identification numbers, dates of birth, taxpayer identification numbers, biometric information, and usernames and passwords, ...
