Comedian and social activist Kathy Griffin will face reinstated claims by the former chief executive officer of a Tennessee company who was fired in response to her retweeting a video of him engaging in an argument with a boy wearing a prom dress.
Griffin, a resident of California, is subject to suit in Tennessee, the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit ruled in an opinion by Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton. The appeals court reversed a ruling by the US District Court for the District of Tennessee, dismissing Samuel Johnson’s lawsuit for lack of personal jurisdiction.
