A Kansas man found guilty of defrauding car dealerships, financial institutions, and title loan companies won a Tenth Circuit ruling undoing one of several bank fraud convictions and a wire fraud conviction for lack of proof to support them.
The US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit reversed one of Montressa Cunningham’s seven bank fraud convictions because there was no evidence proving he helped his co-conspirator wife obtain the underlying loan.
