Juvia’s Place Accused of Using Harmful Additives in Eyeshadows

Juvia’s Place LLC, a viral makeup brand known for its brightly pigmented products, was hit with a proposed class action alleging eyeshadows in many of its palettes contains unsafe synthetic color additives that can stain the skin.

In addition, nearly 30 eyeshadows across multiple Juvia’s Place palettes contain red and yellow color additives that are known to be harmful to the eyes, the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of California says.
