Juul Sued by Florida For Illegally Targeting Vaping at Youth (1)

Florida’s top cop sued vape-maker Juul in state court Wednesday alleging the company illegally targeted minors through marketing tactics geared toward young Floridians’ tastes.

The company created flavors, devices, and marketing messages catered toward young users, the state said in its complaint, filed in the state’s Thirteenth Judicial District Circuit Court. Juul’s e-cigarette devices took off during a period when youth uptake of vaping was skyrocketing and Juul held 75% of the market, according to the state.
