Justices Skip UVA Student’s Suit Over ‘Microaggressions’ Speech

The US Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a University of Virginia medical student’s bid to revive his lawsuit alleging his constitutional rights were violated when he was expelled for questions he posed during a faculty presentation on “microaggressions.”

The term is used to describe verbal, environmental, and behavioral lights that communicate hostility or negative attitudes on race, gender, culture, or beliefs.
