The owner of Alternative Choice Home Care Nursing LLC was indicted by a federal grand jury in Denver, Colorado, for charges of willfully failing to account for and pay over employment taxes for several years, the Office of Public Affairs said Wednesday.
Shandel Arkadie, who operated a home health care business, allegedly withheld income, Social Security, and Medicare taxes from employees’ wages, the government said. She also allegedly didn’t timely file ACHCN’s quarterly employment tax returns or pay the withholdings to the IRS, according to the OPA.
