The Department of Justice will pay $1.2 million to resolve a lawsuit alleging sexual harassment by Los Angeles Assistant Chief Immigration Judge Scott D. Laurent, according to court documents.
Laurent’s assistant told the US District Court for the Central District of California that she was accepting an offer in that amount in exchange for judgment being entered in her favor on all of her claims in the case. The offer also provides for the payment of the assistant’s court costs prior to the date of the offer, including her reasonable attorneys’ fees.
