A Florida federal court dismissed clothing company Marco Squared LLC’s suit accusing an attorney of improperly using pandemic-era government funds to help “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne.
Marco Squared’s allegations against James L. Wilkes II were vague and lacked specificity, and the company failed to demonstrate its citizenship to establish federal diversity jurisdiction, Judge Charlene Edwards Honeywell of the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida said in a Nov. 28 order to dismiss without prejudice. The company can file an amended complaint.
