Judge ‘Disturbed’ by Alleged Gala Shooter’s Jail Conditions

A federal judge said Monday he was “disturbed” after learning the man accused of attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump at a recent Washington gala is being held in solitary confinement in addition to other restrictive conditions while in custody.

During a hearing for Cole Tomas Allen, public defenders for the California man charged with trying to target Trump at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner said he had been denied legal counsel, access to religious materials and recreation time.
