Judge Discontinues White Principal’s Bias Suit Against Union (1)

Race discrimination claims brought by a White former New York City school principal over whether the United Federation of Teachers conspired with several teachers to replace her with a Black principal have ceased after the parties agreed to settle.

Judge Gregory H. Woods of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York discontinued the claims from Patricia Catania while giving her the right to refile her claims, in an order entered into the case docket Thursday.
