Judge Closes NYU Tuition Lawsuit After Parties Agree to End Case

A federal judge ended a lawsuit by a former New York University student seeking a tuition refund because her classes moved online during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The order to lift a stay and close the case from Judge George B. Daniels of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday came after plaintiff Casey E. Hall-Landers and NYU agreed to voluntarily dismiss the case on July 18.
