‘Joint Juice’ Maker Says Consumer Failed to Prove Case at Trial

Joint Juice maker Premier Nutrition Corp. told a federal court in California that it’s entitled to judgment in a class trial, saying a New York consumer failed to prove her claims that it deceptively marketed a glucosamine supplement.

Mary Beth Montera and others allege they bought the product for the joint-health benefits that Premier advertised. They say they overpaid because glucosamine can’t deliver on its promises to relieve joint pain or help with flexibility and mobility.
