John Deere Bars UAW Strikers From ‘Trespassing’ at Iowa Plant

Deere & Co. won its bid for a temporary restraining order blocking thousands of union members from picketing at a plant in Davenport, Iowa, during a strike over their compensation, after a state trial judge said the workers’ conduct was “unwarranted, impermissible and unlawful.”

During the strike, union members have used “mass picketing” to impede or prevent non-striking workers, customers, and others from safely accessing the plant’s entrances, exits, and parking lots, Chief Judge Marlita A. Greve said.
