Alpha Brain supplements made by Onnit Labs Inc. were deceptively marketed as supporting memory, focus, and mental processing speed because the claims were based on a flawed clinical study, a new class action alleges.
Onnit overstates the benefits of Alpha Brain’s ability to support various cognitive functions because “when the marketplace for these brain snake oils is rife with outrageous claims, the only way for the snake oil purveyors to distinguish themselves is to lead the pack in mendacity,” the complaint says.
