JFK Assassination Records Lawsuit Mooted by Trump’s File Release

A lawsuit seeking the release of government records relating to the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy was largely tossed out because the Trump administration released a large batch of files last year.

Judge Richard Seeborg the US District Court for the Northern District of California said he was unpersuaded by claims from the researchers that a live controversy still existed despite President Donald Trump’s executive order that required the release of files in March 2025.
