A Jewish philanthropy in Massachusetts said a podcast production company’s invocation of the Israel-Palestine conflict as grounds to not enter a contract amounted to illegal discrimination, according to a federal lawsuit.
The Ruderman Family Foundation, a non-profit philanthropy in Newton, Mass., said it had engaged Jubilaria Media and its founder Gregory Haddock and produced a test episode for its “All About Change” podcast.
The foundation had proposed moving forward with a discussion about antisemitism and vetting of guests to avoid people who denied the right of existence for the Jewish people when Haddock went silent.
