A lawsuit alleging Jewelry Designer Showcase Inc. engaged in a scheme to defraud investors has been dismissed after the parties reached a “settlement in principle.”
The US District Court for the Eastern District of New York dismissed the suit Wednesday without prejudice. “Barring any further requests for an extension by November 13, 2023, this dismissal shall” be “deemed with prejudice,” Judge Gary R. Brown ruled, according to a docket entry.
The details of the agreement aren’t stated in the court record, and counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
