Jeffrey Clark Faces Disbarment Over 2020 Election (Correct)

Former US Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Clark should be disbarred over his efforts to cast doubt on the results of the 2020 election, the DC Bar’s Board of Professional Responsibility recommended.

A majority of the board said Clark attempted to make intentionally false statements when he advocated for sending a letter probing the legitimacy of the election results in Georgia, in violation of the Bar’s Rule of Professional Conduct 8.4(a). Clark also attempted to violate Rule 8.4(c), which prohibits dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation, the majority said.
