JBS USA Faces Bias Lawsuit by Black Pennsylvania Plant Workers

Food processor JBS USA Holdings Inc. was hit with a proposed class action alleging race-based employment discrimination by Black employees at a JBS meat packing plant in Souderton, Pa.

Lead plaintiff Robert Edwards and 12 other named plaintiffs allege that they were denied the opportunity for promotion, were routinely subjected to racial slurs by managers and employees, denied pay raises and overtime, denied the right to be re-hired, and required to work in lower paying areas of the plant.
