A former Norwalk Hospital medical resident can’t sue law firm Jackson Lewis PC for defamation based on its role in conducting an investigation for the hospital of his alleged sexual assault of another medical resident, the Second Circuit affirmed Friday.
That Jackson Lewis’ dissemination of the written investigative reports to the hospital and to the accused medical resident’s attorney were shielded by qualified immunity was “apparent on the face” of his lawsuit, the court said.
