Six employees brought a class action against the fast food chain in the US District Court for the District of Oregon, alleging the company violated state labor laws by improperly deducting the cost of no-slip shoes from paychecks without authorization.
The jury found the plaintiffs did actually authorize their shoe deductions, but were still owed penalty wages from the company.
