IRS, Architecture Companies End Employee Retention Credits Suit

Two Illinois-based companies that produce architectural glass and metal agreed with the government to close litigation seeking almost $1.3 million in employee retention credits under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.

The parties moved to dismiss their case with prejudice Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. MTH Enterprises LLC and MTH Underlayment LLC sued the US Internal Revenue Service in October 2024, claiming they suffered significant declines in gross receipts that qualified them for tax refunds.
