Iowa Body Armor Maker Must Face NY Shooting Liability Claims

The former CEO of a body armor company will have to face claims in New York related to a 2022 mass shooting at a Buffalo supermarket.

Arguments from the wife of a security guard who was killed in the incident are “sufficient to warrant discovery” to determine whether New York can exercise jurisdiction over Blake Waldrop and Cory Clark, respectively, the former CEO and a customer service representative for Iowa-based RMA Armament, the New York Supreme Court Fourth Appellate department said in its unsigned opinion.
