A lawyer in Iowa will be suspended for 60 days for committing a criminal domestic violence act and failing to properly act on a discovery order, the state’s supreme court has ruled.
Scott L. Bixenman was accused of violating disciplinary rules in connection with two separate incidents, including a criminal matter in which Bixenman allegedly pushed his child and wife. In the second matter, Bixenman allegedly failed to properly respond to discovery requests in a dissolution of marriage case involving child custody.
