Invisalign Maker Gets Final OK on its $31.8 Million Settlement

Align Technology Inc. received final approval Friday of a $31.75 million settlement to resolve claims it colluded in raising the prices of its popular Invisalign teeth-straightening products.

Judge Vince Chhabria of the US District Court for the Northern District of California gave final approval of the agreement and certified a class of consumers after holding they satisfy each component of Rule 23 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. The judge previously denied two other proposed settlements, citing concerns of a coupon program offered to the class members.
