InventHelp Proposes to Pay $3 Million in Cash to End Class Suits

InventHelp is proposing to pay $3 million in cash to end consolidated class lawsuits alleging that it duped aspiring inventors into paying thousands of dollars for invention promotion services without making disclosures required by federal law before a client enters into a services contract.

The proposed settlement would also provide economic relief in the form of credits, which could be applied against customer’s unpaid balances, and “service-related benefits” to the would-be class members, and further provides for “prospective relief designed to fix the alleged wrongful conduct,” the motion for preliminary approval, filed in the US District Court for the Western ...
