James River Insurance Co. asked a Florida federal court to rule that it doesn’t owe payments for a firearm company’s defense or potential damages in two New York suits seeking its liability for local shootings.
The insurer filed its complaint Friday seeking a declaratory judgment in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida, arguing its policy with firearm manufacturer SCCY Industries LLC doesn’t include coverage for these suits.
