Instructure Hit With Privacy Suit Over Data Collected From Kids

Instructure Inc. collects and sells the personal information of millions of school-age children without parental consent in violation of federal and state privacy laws, a proposed federal class action said.

Although Instructure markets itself as an education-technology company, its core business is using its products to generate, extract, analyze, and monetize childrens’ information, the lead plaintiffs alleged in a complaint filed March 27 in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
