Investors have appealed to the Delaware Supreme Court to revive their lawsuit alleging Insight Venture Partners LLC steered one of its portfolio companies into an overpriced $1.2 billion deal for another fintech firm it controlled, SimpleNexus.
The Delaware Court of Chancery found Insight wasn’t liable for investor losses following nCino Inc.'s 2021 purchase of SimpleNexus. But in dismissing the lawsuit, the court failed to see the big picture in the close ties between nCino’s directors and Insight, the investors said in an opening brief unsealed Tuesday.
