Infusion Management Platform Hit With Suit After Data Breach

Infusion management platform Endue Software failed to sufficiently protect a variety of personally identifiable information, including Social Security and medical record numbers, from cybercriminals, a lawsuit alleged.

Whoever intruded in Endue’s systems copied “files from certain internal systems,” according to the company’s public notice. Endue told the Maine attorney general’s office that the leak may have impacted almost 120,000 people. The suit in the US District Court for the District of Maine seeks to hold Endue “responsible for its grossly negligent—indeed, reckless—failure.”
