Indiana Supreme Court Asked to Reconsider Abortion Decision

Indiana’s near-total abortion ban should be blocked pending a decision on whether it fails to protect serious risks to a patient’s health that may not fall within a life-health exception, a Planned Parenthood affiliate said.

The group is asking the Indiana Supreme Court to reconsider a June 30 decision in which it allowed the law to take effect despite saying that the Indiana Constitution protects a person’s right to have an abortion to the extent that it’s necessary to save their life or protect their health.
