Imperial Dade Gets Early Win in Noncompete Suit Against Veritiv

Imperial Dade Canada Inc. convinced Delaware’s Chancery Court to block Veritiv Corp. from making sales that allegedly violate the noncompete terms of a $190 million purchase agreement between the companies.

Imperial will likely prevail on claims that some of Veritiv’s continuing business with Canadian companies breached the purchase agreement, Vice Chancellor Morgan T. Zurn said Wednesday, partly granting Imperial’s motion for a preliminary injunction.
