The Immigration Reform Law Institute is asking a federal court to let it file a brief supporting the government’s position in a lawsuit filed by asylum seekers after their personal information was published on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement website in November 2022.
The 49 plaintiffs are asking US District Court for the District of Columbia to prevent ICE from removing the more than 6,000 affected asylum seekers until their claims can be re-adjudicated in light of the additional risk they face after the data breach.
