Imagine360 Hit With Proposed Class Action Over Fortra Hack

Healthcare revenue cycle company Imagine360 LLC was hit with a proposed class action for failing to protect private health information and personal data, as fallout from a January hack of Fortra LLC continues.

Anthony Collins alleges that Imagine360 knew of the vulnerability before the breach but didn’t do anything to prevent the hack or limit data shared with Fortra or Citrix Systems Inc., which included Social Security numbers, dates of birth, diagnoses, and medication.

The lawsuit alleges that Imagine360 “failed to comply with safeguards mandated by HIPAA regulations and industry standards” in not encrypting the personally identifiable data.
