A former Illinois judge who was removed from office by the state’s Supreme Court is suing its justices over claims their decision was motivated by politics.
Cook County Circuit Judge James Brown claims he was fired for his remarks in an opinion column on the John Kass news blog discussing “the political use of the legal system against President Donald Trump,” according to a complaint filed Wednesday with the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
